# Catching exceptions from output plugins

Hi All,

Like in [this thread](https://discuss.elastic.co/t/logstash-exceptionhandling-catching-exceptions-from-output-plugin/28664) I'm trying to catch exceptions from output plugins so we can handle the failed input.

It's been a few years, is there a better way than forking the output plugin?
