# CentOS: elasticsearch dead but subsys locked

I installed elastic search on CentOS 6.10. After that i started it with

service elasticsearch start

But under localhost:9200 it is not reachable and under

service --status-all

it shows:

elasticsearch dead but subsys locked

Can anyone help me?
