# Certificate error occurred when installing the fleet server

Looks like you configured the output in `kibana.yml` file, hence it cannot be modified from Kibana Fleet UI. Please choose one or the other.

Any reason why you would want to configure the output statically in `kibana.yml`?

Can you remove `xpack.fleet.outputs` from `kibana.yml` and then configure the output in the Kibana \> Fleet settings UI? You have to restart `kibana` after you have made the changes in `kibana.yml`.
