# Changing type for existed field

I want to know how to change type for a existed field.  
But I have not found resolution.  
So, I add the new field to \_index as well as change from existed field name to new field name.  
But, that is not able to aggregate a existed field and can't analyse existed data.  
Under using the existed field, I will change a type for the existed field.

You need to reindex the data.
