# Cipher filter not working on numeric data

I am using cipher filter and I am providing numeric value as a source in the filter.  
Getting below error.  
It's working if I give the source as a string value.

\*\*

> "error": "undefined method `empty?' for 1:Fixnum

\*\*

Please help me how cipher filter works for a numeric value.
