# cLucene

Can elasticsearch be used with cLucene \<[http://sourceforge.net/](http://sourceforge.net/)  
projects/clucene/\> rather than normal Lucene?

No. why would you want to use it this way?

This statement is definitely not true "CLucene is faster than lucene  
as it is written in C++." Only performance tests can show this.  
Nothing else. BTW: Java Lucene 2.3.2 is very old!
