# Cluster can Dynamically expansion?

cluster can Dynamically expansion?  
after cluster installed , index.number\_of\_shards not allow change. So there is a problem:  
cluster can Dynamically expansion?  
such as 5 shards, 6 or more data node (not include replicas) or chang index.number\_of\_shards
