Hi all,

planning to use Elasticsearch in a production environment for time-series data. More specifically logs from Apache, Nginx and metrics using Metricbeat.
I was pretty sure that i would start with 2 nodes, for redundancy reasons, and grow if needed. Reading through the forums i understand is not that simple and i should consider master nodes and data nodes and how many of them i should start with in order not to find myself in a wall later.

Any hints, tips would be much appreciated.

Thanks
