# Cluster with 3 nodes - do I need kibana on 3 of them?

Hi,
I have a cluster with 3 nodes. All three are master and data. I will add two more data nodes later.
I need to know if in order to have a fault-tolerant cluster do I need to install kibana at all master nodes? Is it better to have one more node only for kibana (so I can see the cluster from there)?
Of course if there is any URL where I can find these info would be great.

Typically you don't install Kibana on the same host as Elasticsearch in production you want Elasticsearch to be able to consume the hosts resources.
[Here](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/kibana/current/production.html) is a nice explanation on how to deploy Kibana with Elasticsearch for prod / HA.
