# Clustering / horizontal Scaling of Enterprise Search (Workplace and App Search)

Hi,

I need to horizontal scale Enterprise Search (Workplace and App Search). That means to set up multiple nodes (a Cluster) which intercooperate and distribute the load, similar for Elasticsearch or Kibana.

How to do this? Is there any documentation?

We plan to use Docker on VM or Elastic Cloud Kubernetes - it is not final decided.

P.S. I know that Enterprise Search does not support cross-cluster replication - thats what I read in the known issues documentation - but creating a single site cluster would be necessary.

Hi @sebastianboelling, I've put some suggestions on scaling App Search and Workplace search on [your other post](https://discuss.elastic.co/t/preparing-enterprise-search-workplace-and-app-search-for-production/324090/2), including using meta engines and splitting up your Workplace Search connectors using multiple service accounts and content sources.
