# Collecting logs using filebeat over http

Hi Team,
Wondering if the filebeat.log.type can be http or https? I need to pull the logs using https path and using basic auth. Please let me know if that is possible? I am aware it can be possible with httpjson; however my file is stored in plain text and wanted to pull over.
