# Comparison This Year vs Last Year

I'm using Kibana to analyse our sales performance and I would like to create some graphs with the comparison this year vs last year. I upload on ES index our transactions and I have a field in the document called YEAR with the year of the transactions.
How can I create a graph, lets say a line chart, with two trends: this year and last year sales? I need to filter the visualization with the current year, using this field, and Kibana has to automatically shows this year trend and last year trend.

There is currently no way to do this in Kibana. However, this can be done with [Timelion](https://www.elastic.co/blog/timelion-timeline).
