a) Logstash has a local [persistent queue](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/logstash/current/persistent-queues.html) if you want one otherwise no local storage except in memory

b) That is not the right dashboard Look for `[Metricbeat System] Overview ECS` (the one you are looking at is when you use Elastic Agent). Also you can look at the metrics APP.

c) All the setups are similiar
