Hi All,

I'm new to ES and now building a cluster environment, which consists of multiple ES instances across multiple nodes.
Where is index data location by default and is it changeable to share the same location in a cluster?

Many thanks in advance for your help.
Sato

Here is another link that you should have if you install ES using the RPM... scroll down to the directory layout section
[https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/rpm.html](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/rpm.html)

Also, on this page to the right, there are links to other platforms or doing ZIP or .TAR.GZ installation

Great. In the future, use the online documentation... ES does a great job in keeping it up to date from version to version.
