# Controls widget for metricbeat use

Hello!  
I use metrics to monitor servers. Installed the latest version. Indexes are stored weekly. When I install the metricbit on a new server, data begins to be collected. But there is a problem with the widget `Controls`. There you cannot select values by a new host, for example, in the field `beat.hostname` select the name of the host. But as soon as you delete the index in which it is collected, the selection of the field in the widget works.
