# Convert date to string

Logstah version:7.4.0  
When I used the follow command,it doesn't word:  
mutate{  
convert =\> {  
"depDate"=\>"string"  
}  
}  
The depDate formate is '2020-03-12' or '-' or '2020-03-12/2020-03-18'

Hi

What do you mean when you say that it does not work? Please post the output from `stdout{}` output plugin.

Proper formatting makes everybody's life easier. Please use the "\</\>" tool when posting code, samples, etc.
