# Convert string field to json

I need to convert this "message" field to json, how?

Hi,

Have a look at my answer in [this similar thread](https://discuss.elastic.co/t/extracting-some-json-fields-from-the-message/296479). You can do this by using two parsers/processors in the pipeline.
