# Convert timestamp to date in existing index

Hi,  
I have a problem with converting the timestamp field in elasticsearch to date in order to apear in kibana like a date, i already created the index, now i need to do the mapping on pay\_time wich is a date field , (i think that i should use a template but i dont know how to create it ), can anyone help me pls
