# Couldn't find any output plugin named 'elasticsearch'......error: manticore -- java.lang.NoSuchFieldError: INSTANCE

Hi,

I'm trying to use Elasticsearch as output in my configuration file.  
logstash version 2.1.0  
elasticsearch version 2.3.2  
But getting the below error:

> Couldn't find any output plugin named 'elasticsearch'. Are you sure this is co  
> rrect? Trying to load the elasticsearch output plugin resulted in this error: lo  
> ad error: manticore -- java.lang.NoSuchFieldError: INSTANCE

I used the command `E:\Girish-GK00428336\ELK\logstash-2.1.0\bin>plugin install logstash-output-elasticsearch` to install Elasticsearch output plugin..

but the error is not resolved..still giving the same error.

The error message seems to indicate a bug of some kind, but I'm not sure what is causing it.

If you are just starting with Elastic stack, I highly recommend you use the latest releases of Logstash and Elasticsearch. The latest release of the Elastic stack is version 5.3.1. version 2.1.0 of Logstash is no longer maintained.
