# Create a date mapping with timezone

I am trying 5.2 ELK. I have a date field. I know that by default ES will consider that as GMT. But my time is in GMT +5.30. is there any mapping to say to elasticsearch to save my date field in GMT +05.30

I'd add a date filter in logstash to change the date to a UTC date.
