# Creating a premade dashboard for my custom beat

I have created my own custom beat (by following [Creating a New Beat | Beats Developer Guide [master] | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/beats/devguide/current/new-beat.html)).

I would like to create a new custom dashboard on Kibana every time a user uploads a new file using this custom beat. Is there a tutorial I can follow? Or a premade example I can refer to?

Im very confused by the docs at [Importing Existing Beat Dashboards | Beats Developer Guide [master] | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/beats/devguide/current/import-dashboards.html)

Any help is appreciated.

What´s the error you´re getting? You must export your dashboards and then import them. [Exporting New and Modified Beat Dashboards | Beats Developer Guide [master] | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/beats/devguide/current/export-dashboards.html)
