# Creating custom module for filebeat

I was watching this webinar [Build Your Own Filebeat Module | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/elasticon/conf/2018/sf/build-your-own-filebeat-module) to learn how to create my own module. I wanted to test the pipeline.json file that I wrote for a custom log file but I'm not sure how to do it. In the video at time 10:12, Noémi ran an executable called execute\_pipeline with the arguments being the pipeline.json file that she wrote and the custom log file that she wrote. I am wondering how I can do this in my local machine
