# Creating logstash file

How can i create the logstash file and how to run bin/logstash -f logstash.conf ?

Any text editor will do.

What do you mean? Are you unfamiliar with how to run commands?

i mean after i had create the text which configuration should i do on it like here  
[https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/logstash/current/configuration.html](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/logstash/current/configuration.html)  
there is a code to add on the text or what is it

yes i don't know how to run it in the cmd
