# Creating new Index by other name

Hi Folks,

I am not sure if I am following appropriate steps here. I already have an index created with logstash-testing-\* now would like to create new Index by name hashes-\*; I guess I need to create new mapping here and ingest into ES.

However when I am creating a new mapping template it's giving me an error. This is the first time I am trying to create an index with something else.

If the messages get parsed by logstash my data from hashes gets ingested into logstash-tesing index.

Can someone please help? Or hope I am on the right track?
