# Curator - how to use extra\_settings to create alias after shrink

hi all,  
I'm working with curator to shrink specific indices (using creation date). After that I need to create an alias to be linked to the targer index using the source index's name.  
Currently I know that I should use `extra_settings` key but I'm not understanding how to use it to recover the original name.  
Can anyone help me to understand the syntax?
