# Curator-ZIP file to install as a non root

Hello,
Can some share with me a zip file or tar ball of the latest curator for elastic search , I am installing it as a non-root. Since we do not want to install as under root. and we have specific directory structure for the elk.

Can you not install via [`pip`](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/client/curator/current/pip.html)?
Otherwise, you can install [from source](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/client/curator/current/python-source.html).
If you're still determined to go it alone, the URL for the source tarball is [https://github.com/elastic/curator/archive/v4.2.6.tar.gz](https://github.com/elastic/curator/archive/v4.2.6.tar.gz)
