# Currently we are on logstash 1.4.2 , but to comply new elasticsearch requirements we need to move to logstash version 2 or more, I am looking for any document or url that provides steps

Currently we are on logstash 1.4.2 , but to comply new elasticsearch requirements we need to move to logstash version 2 or more, I am looking for any document or url that provides steps.

I'd suggest you need to move to 6.X, or more preferably 7.X.

2.X has been EOL for 2 years now - [https://www.elastic.co/support/eol](https://www.elastic.co/support/eol)

Cannot possibly move to 7.x as our elasticsearch is at 6.7  
So, can you provide a url or document that can guide us in upgrading logstash from 1 to 6.x?

There's no document for that large of a move. You would probably be better off setting up a new 6.8 instance of Logstash and the copying your configs over.
