# Custom embeddable plugin - How to add to dashboard

Hi all,

So i just completed my embeddable plugin and it is currently showing up in the main side menu at the bottom. How do i add it to my dashboard?

Hi @OAJ,

Are you following the [hello world example plugin](https://github.com/elastic/kibana/tree/main/examples/hello_world)? I've not done much plugin development, but digging into my locally running instance, if you've registered the plugin it should be available as far as I can tell:

[register\_add\_search\_panel\_action.tsx](https://github.com/elastic/kibana/blob/main/examples/embeddable_examples/public/react_embeddables/search/register_add_search_panel_action.tsx) documents how to add an embeddable to dashboard's "Add panel" menu.
