# Custom label size issue in transaction metadata

Hi team,

We have modified the apm java agent code to add some metadata in transactions that is having dynamic length. One issue we are facing is that sometimes when the size of that metadata value is large let say more than 1024 characters it is getting truncated.

How can we overcome this issue or if there are any other alternatives.
