# Data copy options from 2.7 version to 7.3 version

We are upgrading Elastic Search from 2.7 to 7.3 version. Like to know the options we have for migrating existing documents from 2.7 to 7.3 version and any major challenges.

Fyi, Data is around 10 TB access across enterprise applications

Welcome!

Lot of challenges as so many things happened in the last years from 2 to 5, to 6 to 7....

I'd consider starting a new cluster from scratch and use the reindex from remote feature to reindex the documents.
