# Data Table in Dashboard not showing data as per date range

Hi,

I created a data table visualization and added it to a dashboard. By changing the date range in the dashboard, the data in the data table doesn't change.

I want the data table to show only data that is available for Tha time period selected. Can someone please help me with how to do this?

Ok, found out that this is because the @timestamp field was not marked as the tie at which events occurred. How does one enable this in case it has not been enabled when creating the index?

Hi there, you should be able to create a new index pattern using @timestamp as the time field name. Then you'll have to recreate your visualizations, because unfortunately Kibana doesn't allow you to change a visualization's index pattern at this time.
