In my index, I do not have timestamp field I have reading\_date field. How to configure my dashboard's date filter to use reading\_date instead of timestamp field?

hi @PRACHI_GUPTA

when you create the index-pattern of your data, set the default time-field to that `reading_date` field. See [https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/kibana/current/tutorial-define-index.html#\_create\_an\_index\_pattern\_for\_the\_time\_series\_data](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/kibana/current/tutorial-define-index.html#_create_an_index_pattern_for_the_time_series_data)
