# Date Histogram aggregation

Hello,

I am using Kibana version 8.2.3 where I’m using Lens to create a table.

I’m using the Date Histogram aggregation on the timestamp with a customize time interval of 1 hour.

For some reason, the table is not creating buckets of 1 hour intervals, but 3 for hour intervals.

Is this a limitation of the visual or am I doing something wrong?

The amount of buckets in a date histogram is limited to 100 buckets by default. You can change this in Stack management \> Advanced settings. Search for "Maximum buckets" (histogram:maxBars)
