# Debug input plugin

Hi.  
We send entries from a logfile via filebeats to logstash and forward it to elastic. logstash has a "beats" plugin configured.  
Some lines don't get forwarded though. I'm able to see filebeat sending them to logstash but I'm not able to see logstash output them (I set file output temporarily for debugging).  
Is it possible to debug incoming plugin, too? Or is logstash using the general logfile for errors occuring at input plugins?
