We have 3 dedicated master nodes in the cluster, and I have noticed from ES monitoring that their JVM does get used, even though only one master is active at any time. Do the inactive master nodes perform tasks? I’ve assumed that the master-eligible nodes are just there for fault tolerance but it appears that they do contribute to something?
