Hello,

I know the _delete all_ kind of operations are the ones to avoid, but in
this case, I'm really needing it. I'd like to delete all the snapshots in a
repository before creating a new snapshot.
Is there any easy method to do that?

I have tried: _curl -XDELETE
"localhost:9200/\_snapshot/backupES/\_all?pretty"_ but that does not work.

Does anyone has an idea?

Thanks,
Bruno

Hi ,

Can you remove the snapshot name and try again -

_curl -XDELETE "localhost:9200/\_snapshot/\_all?pretty"_

Thanks
Vineeth

Hi,

that would try to delete all the snapshots repositories registered in the
cluster.

What I would like is to, given a repository, delete all the snapshots of
such repository.

Thanks,
Bruno
