# Delete by query force delete on conflicts

We are having a lot of version conflicts during delete\_by\_query, even been sure there's no new version of the documents. Is there a way to force the deletion?

After having the conflicts we can see the documents are still in the version 1, BTW.

Current ES version is 5.5.
