Can you run Kibana since you deleted your index file? Did you recently upgrade? What version of Kibana are you running?

Can you explain your issue a bit more? Is it that data from your remote machine's log files are not getting indexed into Elasticsearch?

If you go to the management app and re-add your index patterns, does your data then show up?

Hey Stacey... I was running Kibana 5.4.0 but recently upgraded ELK stack to 5.4.1.. I uninstalled the ELK stack and reinstalled .. Then I stumbled into another error "Elasticsearch still initializing kibana index" .. Any assistance please ?
