Hello,
I see in the docs the description of operations like this:
operation-type (mandatory): Type of this operation. Out of the box, Rally supports the following operation types: index, force-merge, index-stats, node-stats and search

However there is no description of each type. I would like to know what "force-merge" is for example. I can figure it out from the name, but in any case the description of each type of operation should be provided.

Hi @Ernesto_Reig,

makes sense; thanks for your suggestion. Would you mind opening a ticket for that in the Rally repo?

If you can't wait for the docs and are able to read Python, [runner.py](https://github.com/elastic/rally/blob/master/esrally/driver/runner.py) contains all the operations that Rally supports out of the box at the moment.

Daniel

Thank you for the quick response. I opened the issue: [https://github.com/elastic/rally/issues/247](https://github.com/elastic/rally/issues/247)
