# Difference between Store and Fielddata

Hi , My question relates to the difference between store : true and fielddata :true . As per my knowledge , store : true stores the values of a particular field . Fielddata true caches values for a particular field . Do both help equally in faster retreival of values or just fielddata ? when is store true actually helpful ?
