# Different Replica settings per Hot/Warm Nodes

Hi All,

My Cluster status is currently yellow. This is due to shards reaching the end of the lifecycle in the hot nodes and being moved to the warm node, however the replica shards cannot be created as there is only one warm node. Is there a way of creating replicas on hot nodes only (I have 3) and 0 replicas when turned warm?

Yes, [this is one of the documented examples](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/_actions.html#_example_change_number_of_replicas).
