# Disable AI Assistant in Kibana 9.2.1

Hi Everyone,

I want to disable the **AI Assistent** in Kibana 9.2.1, how to do that? I noticed on the documentation [Manage access to AI features | Elastic Docs](https://www.elastic.co/docs/explore-analyze/manage-access-to-ai-assistant) that can be done in _GenAI Settings_ page, but I don’t find it (also if I login with the “elastic” user).

Is there a way to disable it? Maybe inside the `kibana.yml` file?

Hello @cisupport-zkb

As per the documentation ( [Manage access to AI features | Elastic Docs](https://www.elastic.co/docs/explore-analyze/manage-access-to-ai-assistant) ) if we select below option it hides the Assistant :

**Hide all assistants** : Disables AI Assistant throughout Kibana.

Thanks for the informations!

I don’t find the GenAI Settings page, maybe as the AI Assistent is a subscription feature? I don’t have a license, so it’s also possible to disable it without having a license?

Yes , you are right for basic license this screen is not available.

I just opened an Issue in Kibana GitHub Repository so that will be possible in a future release disable the AI Assistent for users with Basic license
