# Disable Kibana Management section for users

Hello Folks,
Is there a way we can disable the management section from being visible or throw a 404 for users ? We are using kibana-5.1.2 and niginx for security , was thinking if there is a way to avoid that being visible to all users who access kibana.

Hi there, unfortunately there's way to do this without editing the source code directly.

Hey there, I know it's been a few months but I came across [Disable/hide management plugin kibana 5](https://discuss.elastic.co/t/disable-hide-management-plugin-kibana-5/72763) which has some tips on how you could try implementing this feature yourself (though this isn't without risks).
