# Disabling watches installed by elastic

I would like to disable watches that are installed by default when we enable monitoring against a cluster. (Main Cluster-- MonitoringCLuster). Monitoring cluster has watches that send alerts, which are installed by default. I believe these are installed after kibana.

We have custom defined watches monitoring the cluster as the cluster state goes to yellow due to continuous back-up restore operation.

Is there a way to disable these watches. These doesn't allow edit.
