I have documents in an index, and a matching index pattern that was loaded from a saved object, but Discover says there are no index patterns.

I can see the index patterns in the Management tab, and I can see the index and the documents using the console.

I have tried doing the ingest first, then load the saved objects, and also the reverse, with the same results.

It looks like a workaround is this:
Load the index pattern in the management tab, set it as the default, _then refresh the page_. The last part is necessary. It fails without a refresh.

Is there a method that will make discover see the index pattern without this workaround? Seems related to [this issue](https://discuss.elastic.co/t/kibana-7-cant-load-index-pattern/180167).

Using ES 7.6
