Hi,

I have SAS and SSD disk coming from data center's pool. I want to setup my Elasticsearch cluster with those disks.

I want to use SSDs only for recent 1 week and SAS for past. Is it possible?

This setup will be dedicated indices for per dedicated servers. (NOT VM or NOT CONTAINER)

Welcome!

Have a look at [Index Lifecycle Management](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/index-lifecycle-management.html).

It will make your life easier.

In short, you create nodes with some roles and move data from hot to warm nodes.
