# Distance\_error\_pct parameter explain

Hi,  
someone can explain what does the distance\_error\_pct mean in relation to precision?  
e.g What does it mean 0.025% of error in relation to the shape?  
I've searched the docs ([geo-shape data type](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/geo-shape.html))  
but i couldn't find answers...
