I want to push data in elastic search from sql server using JDBC driver.

Am I allowed to use JDBC driver with logstash under Open source license?

Do I need license of elasticsearch to use JDBC driver for logstash ?

I guess you are confusing with [JDBC/ODBC](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/7.3/sql-jdbc.html) driver to connect third party system to elasticsearch wish is not free.

Logsatsh is completely open source with all its plugins inclung [jdbc](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/logstash/current/plugins-inputs-jdbc.html) input wish stream data from any RDBMS database (SQL Server, ORacle, ....)
