# Dockershim is being deprecated in k8s 1.24

Starting with `Kubernetes` ver `1.24` the project is removing the `dockershim` that processes docker commands as the container runtime engine.
I am running `Filebeat` and Metricbeat `7.16.2` in our clusters currently and they have a dependency on the dockershim to run.
I have not been able to find information regarding migrating the beats daemon sets away from docker.
