Is it possible to add a timestamp field to each document when created or last updated? Elastic version 7.8. I need to know last time document was updated.

Welcome to our community! 😃

There is, you need to add it yourself. You can do that using a pipeline [like this one](https://discuss.elastic.co/t/creation-and-update-timestamps-for-each-doc/93456/2), or use Logstash or whatever client you are using to send the data to Elasticsearch with.
